The Feedlot

The ideas that toss around in Drew’s weird brain:
These are two images of mine that arouse strong feelings, um, in my head. The wilderness kayaker guy, running a creek that only flows like this maybe once every 5 years -- I took it back last year when we were at Richland Creek. It gives me a warm fuzzy adventurous feeling, …if such a feeling is possible. It makes me think of a way of life that I have grown to want and need, but still starve myself of. The other image, from the Wal-Mart Supercenter a couple weeks back at 2:15 am, reminds me of the life that I loathe, of the life that I swim in.

The first photo makes me feel alive. The other photo makes me feel like a cow at a feedlot with a four-digit number branded on my neck.
