TextAmerica set up a site called Southern California Brush Fires. Now that there are large numbers of people running around out there with cellphone/cameras, things are going to get interesting. Its very easy to set up a an online photo journal that pulls photos from your phone.
I bet we're only talking about a matter of time, before everybody is running around with those things
Awhile back I purchased a HP film/slide scanner. Model S20 if you're really that curious. $120 off ebay. Not a bad deal.
Lately I've been scanning a few slides here and there, and most recently scanning alot of negatives. ..you know, those black strips that you get with your prints. Holes running down the sides of them? Those things. Here are a few of my flavor its.
The whole gang waiting for the morning bus at Crested Butte, sometime around 4 years ago.
That same week I took this photo of Matt, goofing off downtown. Thats a quality desposable camera photo if you ask me.
The summer of my first year of college; Corey and Collin standing in front of Mt Rainier, in the snow, in mid August, making a guesture that at the time seemed pretty funny.
Finding this negative made my day. Corey has the print, but now i can make some quality enlargements.

Me and DeAnja took a boat "adventure" around the NaPali coast of Kauai. It was special. Would've been special'er if we weren't half asleep from the pre-emptive motion sickness medication. Photos that I don't remember taking, indicate the view was spectacular.
The boatride took us up close and personal with some very cool sea-caves that had very cool sunlight peaking through them.
My new wife in an actual jungle of an actual volcanic island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. People this stuff was halfway to Japan. This rocks more than you know.
Mom with the new dog on our new deck, a couple of weeks before I moved out. The dog is a morning dog.
