Festivities not very fun. No they weren't. All the cool stuff seemed to get cancled, and we were to have waited two or three more hours in the sweltering heat if we wanted to see the others. We left the city park during a childrens talent show. It was time to go. This time of needed departure occured somewhere in the middle of three scantily clad 12 year old girls lip singing and dancing to Britney Spears.

We decide to go the Smackover Oil Museum. I think they changed the name to The Museum of Natural Resources for more funding, but still, I hadn't been there since I was a younger even more-moronic child.

They have all manner of neat items on display, mostly artifacts and informative depictions of the old oil boom.
