Design Challenge

Work with a predetermined template.  The top header elements being provided by the university, the challenge being how to design around them - to compliment and support those elements with your own content and design patterns.

Development Challenge

Create and support a set of page templates and html/css patterns that can be re-used across hundreds of pages within this site. Leverage the bootstrap framework to provide as mobile-friendly experience as possible.

Transitional Challenge

Migrate 7 academic departments, 12 outreach centers, and a myriad of internal administrative units to this new site, plus a new CMS, within the span of a few months.

Organizational Challenge

Educate stakeholders, and coordinate with dozens of content contributors. Handle constant requests for updates and new features. Quality control.

Personal/Career Challenge

Avoid burnout. Find time to stay inspired and challenge myself.
